As part of our Spring Project, our Nursery children have been on a magical journey learning about the life cycle of a butterfly! Each child received their own tiny caterpillar in a special pot filled with food — and yes, they even got to name them!

Using magnifying glasses 🔍 and their own artistic flair, the children observed and drew their caterpillars, learning just how hungry these little creatures can be! 

Then came the real magic — cocoons began to form! After some careful watching and lots of excitement… the butterflies emerged! 🐛🦋 The children learned what butterflies eat, how they live, and where they lay their eggs. 

To wrap up this incredible project, we had a butterfly release in the playground — a joyful moment as the children waved goodbye to their winged friends flying off to explore the world.
